PRESS RELEASE
Cluj-Napoca, Romania, 4th of April, 2024
““YOUTH FOR EUROPE””
Erasmus+ KA-151 Youth Project

Project ref. no. 2023-1-RO01-KA151-YOU-000124069
project financed by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union

“Youth for Europe” (You4EU) represents the second major activity of Babilon Travel NGO Youth Accreditation 2023 (A4). Financed by the European Union and developed in collaboration with Taekwondo Klub Maksimir from Croatia, Council for Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency – SPPMD from North Macedonia, Aequalitas from Portugal and Umbrella from Georgia, the Youth Exchange aims to highlight a sense of civic responsibility and awareness among young participants.

You4EU seeks to create an inclusive environment where visually impaired youth, alongside their peers facing fewer opportunities can actively participate and collaborate with typical peers. The primary aim is to empower these young individuals to become engaged citizens, equipped with an understanding of their rights and a sense of responsibility towards exercising their right to vote thoughtfully. Given the European Parliament elections and the various elections happening in Romania this year, the youth exchange focuses on European citizenship, human rights and the voting process, offering timely insights and opportunities for active participation.

The Youth Exchange takes place in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, from the 15th of April until the 21st of April, 2024. During this time, 30 young individuals and 5 youth leaders will take part in interactive activities, including role-playing games and simulations of a miniature electoral process, aimed at acquainting them with community decision-making mechanisms.
