Empowering youth workers with: “Skills for Tomorrow”
We recently concluded our “Skills for Tomorrow (SkiTo)” training course in the beautiful Azores, Portugal, from October 11th to 15th, 2024. This intensive training gathered 27 youth workers, including individuals with and without sensory impairments, along with 3 accompanying persons and 2 expert trainers. Together, participants from Romania, the Azores, Greece, and North Macedonia engaged in a range of workshops and practical activities designed to enhance their skills in supporting the employability of young people with disabilities.
Throughout the five days, the training focused on developing critical thinking, mentorship abilities, and collaborative strategies that youth workers can use in their local communities. By blending theoretical sessions with hands-on experiences, we aimed to create an inclusive environment where participants could learn and grow both personally and professionally.
