“Challenging media stereotypes” booklet is out!

We’re happy to announce that the booklet “Challenging media stereotypes” is out and ready for use!

This booklet is a practical and insightful resource developed for youth workers, born out of an engaging Erasmus+ training course coordinated by Asociația Babilon Travel in collaboration with four European partners from Romania, Hungary, Serbia and Czech Republic. This booklet offers tools and strategies to help youth workers address gender stereotypes in media, promote inclusivity, and inspire critical thinking among young people. Through interactive methods like workshops, case studies, and advocacy campaigns, the booklet empowers youth workers to guide participants in recognizing and challenging harmful gender narratives.

Created collectively by participants, the booklet reflects the diversity of perspectives from across Europe. It provides actionable insights, from analyzing media biases to crafting effective social media campaigns that promote gender equality. Whether it’s through quizzes, group activities, or advocacy tools, this resource is designed to create a ripple effect—equipping youth workers to inspire their communities and contribute to a fairer, more inclusive media landscape.

Training Format for Low-Ropes Training for Youth Workers

We’re excited to share the outcome of our “Low-Ropes Training for Youth Workers,” part of the Inclusive Evolution 2024 project. This training, held at the beautiful Straja Resort in Romania, aimed to empower youth workers with practical outdoor education methods, focusing on social inclusion and personal development. Over five days, participants from various countries engaged in activities designed to build essential skills like teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving.

The hands-on approach, combined with theoretical insights, provided a dynamic learning experience that participants found both challenging and enriching. The low-ropes activities, trust-building exercises, and collaborative challenges pushed participants out of their comfort zones, fostering a strong sense of community and growth. By the end of the program, participants were equipped with tools and methodologies to apply these outdoor activities in their work with young people facing fewer opportunities.
