Accessible Travel Solutions for Visual Impaired Persons: The Storytelling Contest

As our Accessible Travel Solutions project is progressing, we started a storytelling contest for visually impaired/blind persons and their assistants.

There is no age limit for participants and the contest consists of a 2-3 minutes video were the participant describes some of her/his experience in regard of traveling abroad, alone or together with an accompanying person.

The deadline to produce and deliver the video material ios June 30, 2021.

In order to send the video, the best way is to use the wetransfer service.

The Art of Self-Expression – Project Results

The Art of Self-Expression is an Erasmus+ project where Asociatia Babilon Travel is acting as partner and sending organization. Its main activity was a youth exchange that took place in Zagreb, Croatia, between October 25 and November 2, 2020.

Erasmus Days: Outcomes

Erasmus+ DaysToday we celebrated the #ErasmusDays, with an on-line event presented in our previous article. The event brought together 9 youngsters, seven visually impaired/blind and two non-visually impaired, together with three project coordinators and a member of staff, from the consortium of partners.

Erasmus+ Days

Erasmus+ programme celebrates each year its aniversary. Asociatia Babilon Travel is supporting this wonderful event by organizing an on-line meeting with potential participants to one of our international projects: Ball for All.

This on-line meeting will take place on Friday, October 16, 2020 at 14:30 Romanian local time and will bring together youngster from three European countries: Republic of North Macedonia, Turkey and Romania. (more…)

ATS4VIP: The second intellectual output

The second phase of the ATS VIP Project is underway. This phase is entitled Creation of an OER for accessible, safety and secure travelling of visually impaired persons

It began in April 2020 and is scheduled to be completed by the end of December 2020.

The aim of IO2 is the development of the OER platform that will contain information and innovative content related to accessibility, safety and protection during the trip, especially adapted to people with visual impairment and blindness. All project partners from North Macedonia, Romania and Spain are actively working for the optimal functioning of the OER platform
