Low-Ropes Training for Youth Workers
In September 2024, Babilon Travel NGO hosted a Low-Ropes Training in the Carpathian Mountains, Romania, as part of the Inclusive Evolution 2024 project. The training, held from September 2nd to 6th, gathered youth workers from Romania, Türkiye, North Macedonia, and Serbia to enhance their skills in engaging young people with fewer opportunities through outdoor activities.
Participants focused on developing coordination, cooperation, problem-solving, and leadership skills through low-ropes challenges. Participants were guided through hands-on activities and workshops that explored the dynamics of group work and the potential of adventure-based learning to promote inclusivity. The initiative also emphasized using outdoor learning to promote physical activity, inclusion, and personal development in marginalized youth. Certified trainers guided the youth workers through workshops that connected theory with practical experience.
The setting at Straja Resort enhanced teamwork and intercultural exchange, with participants sharing good practices, traditional food and experiences during evening activities. The final day allowed participants to brainstorm future projects and apply what they learned in their communities.
Babilon Travel NGO continues to be committed to promoting social inclusion, youth empowerment, and sustainability, and this training marks another successful chapter in the organization’s mission to make a lasting impact on young people across Europe.
