Get Connected 2.0 Training Course

UriPlace and date: Uri, Sassari, Sardinia (Italy) April 14-21, 2015 (Travel Day included)

Participants: 25 participants, at least 2 participants/country, youth workers, trainers,  youth leaders, project managers, youth policy makers, age 20+.

Countries: Romania – Babilon Travel NGO, Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Italy, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, United Kingdom.

Language: The working language will be English.

This mobility project (TC) will develop participants’ skills, knowledge and attitudes concerning how to involve young people through E-Media in the policy’s decision making process.

Each day will be dedicated to a social media tool (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and You Tube) starting with a contribution of an expert and concluding with practical challenges for participants.

The connection between the days and the full picture of the event will be clear on the last day; the idea is to create an European Campaign on the ethical use of Social Media itself.

Activities and methods: The activities will be coordinated through non-formal education methods (group works, video productions, role-play games, brainstorming, etc.) and will include visits to the local cultural associations in the city centre, participation to sport events, meetings with the students of the sociology course at the university, exchanges with local administrators and members of local associations. Some activities will take place outdoor, to promote Erasmus+ and non-formal education and raise awareness on urban problems among the local community.

During the last days of the project, participants will have the chance to create working groups, to present ideas for future projects on urban issues, sustainability, and promotion of young people participation in their local community.

Travel costs, food, accommodation and local transports for activities will be fully covered by the project. There is a participation fee of 20 Euro.

The venue: The venue of the project is Uri, an Italian town of 3,031 inhabitants of the province of Sassari in Sardinia. It is located in the north west of Sardinia, about 150 meters above sea level. It is about 13 km from Sassari and 18 from Alghero.
