Uniting Abilities in Outdoor Activities
Erasmus+ KA-151 Youth Project
project project financed by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union
The consortium of 4 partners is implementing the third main activity of the Youth Accreditation project 2022, a Youth Exchange “Uniting Abilities in Outdoor Activities”, financed by the European Union and developed by Asociatia Babilon Travel in partnership with Projekte Vullnetare Nderkombetare (Albania), AzBuki (Serbia) and Taekwondo Klub Maksimir (Croatia) .
The project focus to experience adapted and inclusive outdoor activities and sport workshops and low rope practice in a mixed-ability group. The youth exchange aims to develop and improve participants’ soft skills while promoting a healthy lifestyle through outdoor activities and sports used as tools for inclusion. It also focuses on fostering inclusivity by engaging with visually impaired/blind youngsters.
The Youth Exchange is held in Straja Resort, Romania, between July 3 – July 09, 2023, where 30 young individuals will have the opportunity to engage in activities including workshops on soft skills, outdoor adventures, inclusive sports sessions, low rope challenges, empathy exercises, healthy lifestyle workshops, cultural exchange, and reflection sessions. The objective is to provide a transformative experience that equips young participants with essential skills, promotes inclusivity, and encourages intercultural understanding.
All the activities are held in the Erasmus+ spirit and are based on non-formal education methods and tools in an inclusive and adapted way, considering the presence of visually impaired/blind participants (study visits, working groups, debriefings, free discussions, workshops, teambuilding exercises, energizers, reflections, presentations etc.).
