THE INCLUSIONIST
project financed by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union
September 18 – 24, 2021 – Durres, Albania
The consortium of 6 partners is starting the second main activity of The Inclusionist project, a youth exchange of 32 youngsters, 10 of them with disabilities and 9 with fewer opportunities, from 5 European countries: Albania, Italy, North Macedonia, Romania and Serbia.
The Inclusionist is an Erasmus+ Youth multi-activity project, financed by the European Union and developed by Asociatia Babilon Travel in partnership with Azbuki Serbia, Directia de Asistenta Sociala si Medicala Cluj, Projekte Vullnetare Nderkombetare Albania, Mreza za Dozivotno Ucenje North Macedonia and Associazione ONLUS L’Albero della vita Italy.
The aim of the project is to promote and foster social inclusion of young people with disabilities and fewer opportunities, with focus on independent living.
To achieve its objectives, the project implements two main activities: a training course in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, between November 2 – 9, 2019 and a youth exchange in Durres, Albania, between September 18-24, 2021. All these activities involve mixed groups of disabled and non-disabled participants.
The second main activity, the youth exchange, will offer some of the youth workers participating to the training course, the opportunity to exercise what they learned.
On the other side, for the youngsters involved, the youth exchange will increase the level of knowledge and empowerment with interpersonal/social skills. The participants to the youth exchange will live with peers they do not know, leave home for a while, meet different cultures and create relationships. The participants are youngsters age 17-25. There will be also 5 youth leaders age 18+ and 3 accompanying persons, age 18+ and English speaking.
The official opening of the meeting will be on September 18, 2021, 10:00 AM, at Hotel Florida in Durres.
