Association Babilon Travel announces the start of the youth exchange
BALL for ALL
Project financed by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union
Asociatia Babilon Travel, a non-governmental organization active in carrying out international Erasmus + projects for the benefit of young people with visual impairments and those with low opportunities, known locally and internationally for its successful implementation of numerous social inclusion projects, announces the launch of the main activity, a youth exchange in Cluj-Napoca, Romania,, between August 11-17 within the project “Ball for All”, together with its partners from Turkey (Karabaglar Kaymakamligi) and North Macedonia (Mreza za Dozivotno Ucenje) and the local associated partner, the High-school for Visual Impaired Cluj-Napoca. Get Assured, We Manage the Risks!, is our 4th Erasmus+ KA2 project, financed by the European Union. Asociatia Babilon Travel acts as a partner, sending and hosting organization.
The consortium of partners is formed by 8 organizations from 7 countries (Ireland, France, Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Romania and Turkey), and covers a wide variety of working fields such as sports, non-formal education, arts and therapy, volunteering and more.
The project addresses a common challenge, that youngsters with special needs are facing. Specifically, they hesitate to apply for international learning mobilities, or their parents and care persons prevent them from doing so, because their special needs may not be met adequately and risk management plans do not exist. The consortium of 4 partners is starting the international project You Have The CTRL, an Erasmus+ Youth project, financed by the European Union and developed by Asociatia Babilon Travel in partnership with Karabaglar Kaymakamligi (Turkey), Ikkaido Inclusive Martial Arts (Ireland) and Mreza za Dozivotno Ucenje (The Republic of North Macedonia). Asociatia Babilon Travel is part of the Erasmus+ Youth project Skate-Ring for All, co-funded by the European Union.
The aim of project is to promote idea of integration into society and culture young people visually impaired. Visual impaired persons will motivate the other participants to believe in themselves, raise their self-esteem, overcome their fears, discriminations, raise their awareness and become more open towards others.
